A HEAT RESISTANT ALLOY FORMULATION WHICH ALSO PROVIDES EXCELLENT PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION AND ABRASION.
|
The alloy deposit of ProCus 21 is easily flamed shaped to avoid wasteful grinding. Its easily controlled, thin flowing deposit makes it as easy to apply as a brazing rod.

A nickel based alloy which is super easy to apply and provides excellent resistance to severe abrasion even under high temperature conditions.

Combating wear in both light and heavy industrial machinery is a never-ending task. Equipment design generally allows one component to wear and not the other. Consequently, when a hardsurfacing material needs to be applied to a worn component it is important that the deposited material suits the requirements of the equipment design and function.
ProCus 21 is of an alloy formulation that provides for superb general-purpose hardsurfacing applications. It is an alloy that is applied by oxy acetylene and which is very easy to apply. It is suited for use in areas where high operating temperatures are present and the alloy’s resistance to abrasion under those conditions is excellent. ProCus 21 is nickel based and provides excellent resistance to corrosion, galling as well as severe abrasion. It will retain its hardness to temperatures as high as 649 ºC (1,200 ºC). Importantly, the alloy is thin flowing, easy to apply, yielding a smooth deposit. It is recommended for use where metal to metal wear is prominent. Deposits can be hot formed and wiped to a square edge.
The alloy is suitable for use on valves which operate within the alloy’s temperature range, cams or in areas where friction related temperature is present, producing wear. It can be applied to a range of materials including cast irons, stainless steel and all nickel based alloys. The product can also be applied by TIG welding using argon gas. To deposit can be ground to finish.
